Narcissistic Variant, 2024

Installation, Wood, plastic, and cloth, 300 × 300 × 300cm, Carrousel, Louvre Museum, Paris, France

The installation explores the uncertain and fragmented processes and consequences of contemporary reconstruction and deformation. Using personal belongings as a metaphor for narcissism, it explores the changing patterns and unpredictability of the future. The inherent properties of objects form a fluid interaction among the three themes, creating a narrative based on the exploration of the self and the extreme rationality of quantum concepts thinking. The stability of the triangular structure determines the subjectivity of the object. The installation was exhibited in Carrousel, Louvre Museum in Paris. It is made of found items like hockey sticks and crutches coming from Emmaus-defi, which is a reseller for second-hand furniture aiming at building a sustainable society.
